The police detained one of the leaders of Sporting Lisbon, as well as three more people related to the club. Authorities have reported that arrested are in connection with `active cases of corruption in sport`. The operation is called `Cashball`. The officers searched the club`s offices, as well as the homes of some of the detainees, including Andre Geraldes, the manager of the `green-white` of Lisbon. Previously, 21 people were arrested in connection with the yesterday`s attack on Sporting footballers at the club base in Alcatel. He received head injuries and was given medical attention.
