The Pick is In, a 90-minute documentary released on the Roku streaming service, shows the work of the Los Angeles Rams management during the spring draft ceremony.
As it became known from the film, the Los Angeles club advised by information about sure tips repeatedly tried to move up from its 19th position.
The Rams` initial target was tight end Brock Bowers. The club`s general manager, Les Snead, was in negotiations with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. The Las Vegas Raiders ended up selecting Bowers with the 13th overall pick.
The Rams then switched to defensive lineman Byron Murphy. Head coach Sean McVay correctly predicted that Murphy would not remain available beyond the 16th pick. With the 16th overall pick, the defenseman was taken by the Seattle Seahawks.
The Rams ended up selecting edge rusher Jared Wehrs with their 19th overall pick.
