The Rams then switched to defensive lineman Byron Murphy. Head coach Sean McVay correctly predicted that Murphy would not remain available beyond the 16th pick. With the 16th overall pick, the defenseman was taken by the Seattle Seahawks.


The Rams ended up selecting edge rusher Jared Wehrs with their 19th overall pick.
