The football team of Borac (Banja Luka) has been suspended from participating in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship for the country`s Federation Cup by the local federation due to unpaid debt to former players. The federation ruled that the club could renew its involvement in clearing relations. Otherwise, for their next three matches, official losses will be recorded and then they will probably be removed from the championship.
Their biggest problems are goalkeeper Mladen Lucic, who has filed a complaint for unpaid 36, 700 Bosnian marks (18, 764 euros). There are four other players who are waiting for their money, but their claims are much smaller.
Initially, the decision of the Arbitration was that Borac must pay by December 5. The next day, however (December 6th) was their match of the 18th round of the local championship prediction by fixedfootballtips against FC Sarajevo. Borac filed a complaint on the 3rd and the case was adjourned, which allowed them to play the match in question. After the federation postpones the decision until after the end of the half-season, this means more time for Borac to at least raise the money. The next date was December 21 and the players again did not receive their money, which made them turn to the presidium.
`My money I`m waiting for is 32, 500 Bosnian marks (16, 617 euros). If we add the interest, we get over 36, 000. They had to pay us on the 5th, on the 21st of December after that. But for now, my bill`I found out about the penalty imposed by the federation, but that means I have to wait until February, because the next matches in which they will not play are then, ` said Mladen Lucic.
Thanks to the Footballers` Union, who did all this administrative work. I have heard that in other countries the Players` Union and the local federation are in a cartel, said the victim.
